2026/2027 Scholarships Announced

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! The Foundation is pleased to award $7,000 in scholarships this year to seniors graduating from Colonial Beach and Westmoreland high schools. Read more about it here: https://www.cbcommunityfoundation.org/scholarships

2026/2027 Scholarships Announced

Our scholarship committee was blown away by the pool of applicants we received this year. The students are ready to go out into the world and make a difference.

This year we were able to award $6,000 to Colonial Beach High School--three times more than in past years--thanks to the generosity of donors and proceeds from the Together We Thrive raffle (see below for more info on raffle).

The recipients are: Olivia Cooke, Noah Foster, Micah Gray, Carlyn Middleton, Zachary Papanicolas, and Jack Verhalen. They each receive $1,000 sent to their college/university account.

We also awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Westmoreland High School Senior Kearstin Ferguson.

We hope to keep in touch and follow their progress!

Applicants should have a minimum 2.0 GPA, at least 30 hours of community service, and live in the 22443 zip code.
