Colonial Beach Community Foundation Spring Grant Awards Announced

he Foundation recently awarded the following grants during the spring cycle: 

  • Colonial Beach Baptist Church: $1,200 to purchase 2 benches and a trash can for installation on Monroe Bay. This offers the public a nice place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and views!

  • Coming to the Table: $1,500 for youth education, workshops, and essay contests.

  • Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department: $8,000 to update radar equipment on Fire Boat 1.

  • Downtown Colonial Beach: $4,825 for interactive maps and kiosks featuring local attractions and fun wayfinding.

  • Potomac River Keeper Network: $3,000 for water quality testing materials and educational outreach.

  • The Haven: $600 for ring cameras for domestic abuse survivors living in the 22443 zip code.
