October 2023 Meetup at Crazy Jack's Sandwich Shop

Thank you Crazy Jack's Sandwich Shop for hosting the October Welcome to Colonial Beach Meet Up! The sandwiches are awesome! Mayor Robin Schick invited us to have a conversation about the changes and challenges in town.

Here a few updates she shared:

*Printed copies of the 2022 Annual Report and the Budget in Brief for FY2024.

*Sewer equipment has been ordered for the treatment plant

*Historic designation is being expanded. Incentives available for redevelopment. Working toward having the First Baptist Church on Jackson Street recognized as historic. The church has been there since before the Town was incorporated in 1892!

Goals:

*Improve the relationships and experiences with residents and local government

*Be welcoming to each other

*Join people together to solve community problems

It was a great night of conversation and information!
